The K-1 Learning House
Our K–1 Learning House is a joyful, hands-on, multi-age community where curiosity leads and confidence grows. With small class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio, each day is intentionally designed to support the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally.
Students build strong literacy foundations through phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and writing, all taught through small groups and differentiated instruction. In math, students develop deep number sense and problem-solving skills using manipulatives, tens frames, hundreds charts, and real-world applications — because understanding matters more than memorizing.
Hands-on learning is at the heart of everything we do. Through literacy and math centers, fine motor stations, art integration, collaborative building, and inquiry-based exploration, students ask questions, investigate ideas, and discover concepts in meaningful ways.
Our multi-age structure fosters leadership, empathy, and connection, while weekly field trips extend learning beyond the classroom and strengthen our community. Beyond academics, we intentionally cultivate kindness, courage, responsibility, and resilience — ensuring each child is known, supported, and inspired to grow.
It’s more than a classroom — it’s a place where children feel seen, capable, and excited to learn.
